6 Important Facts to Consider When Choosing the Best Enclosure Company

DynaDome | 6 important facts to consider when choosing the best retractable enclosure company.

So you’re interested in getting an enclosure installed for your pool or patio?

With so many options out there, we don’t deny that it can be difficult to choose which product to go with. That’s why we have put together this list of things you should consider looking for in an enclosure company.

1. Company Track Record

A company’s history should be one of the main things to consider when choosing an enclosure company. After all, a company that has been in business longer will usually have all its ducks in a row. Hence, they’ll have more efficient designing, planning, and installation processes. As well as better communication with customers and higher standards than other companies.

DynaDome has been in business since 1985 (https://dynadome.com/about/#STORY). In fact, we introduced the world’s first retractable pool enclosure that same year!

On the other hand, the post-installation process is very important. A company that has been around longer will better serve these needs.

2. Reviews/Testimonials.

Reviews and testimonials are important facts to consider when choosing an enclosure company. There isn’t a person that is not turning to the Internet to research their next purchases.

  • 92% of customers read online reviews before buying
  • 70% of people trust reviews and recommendations from strangers
  • 88% of consumers say reviews influence their online purchasing decisions.

People trust other people. And that is how it is supposed to be. See here what DynaDome customers are sharing about their experiences. https://dynadome.com/#testimonials

“We did not try any other solution before DynaDome, but we did reach out to three competitors. The presentation, price, Cihan and Veli Ozdemir (President), and their impressive headquarters made us choose DynaDome’s enclosure over anything else.

DynaDome was a pleasure to work with and although we had challenging design elements to coordinate with the DynaDome structure (ex: suspended ceiling lighting, speakers, and added ductwork for HVAC), They were supportive and had professional engineers available through every step to assure we had, in the end, what we wanted.“

3. Warranties

A pool enclosure is a serious investment. That is why it is important for an enclosure company to offer good warranties on their products. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control. There is a 10-year limited warranty on the polycarbonate and a 5-year limited warranty on all movable parts like rollers and hinges. The structure itself is engineered and sealed by a state-licensed engineer.

6 Important Facts to Consider When Choosing the Best Enclosure Company

 4. Materials Used

Not all enclosures are made with the same materials. Most people assume that enclosures are made of glass.

While glass is an option, it is not considered the best option. One of the best and preferred materials is Multi-wall Polycarbonate Glazing.

16mm is the standard thickness for the material that DynaDome uses. The vertical walls are made of solid 5mm polycarbonate glazing. This gives the enclosure a glass room look.

Among the other materials used are:

  • aircraft-quality anodized aluminum framing and other members;
  • stainless steel rollers and
  • fasteners.

6. Enclosure Features

Not all enclosures are the same. They have different features and functionality. So if the enclosure company has patented technology included in each installation, that is a very good sign.

A great example of this kind of feature is our “Never-Jam” Track System. DynaDome’s patented “Never-Jam” track system allows easy opening and closing by just one person.

Track and wheel design allows twigs, acorns, and other presents from mother nature to be in the way without stopping the DynaDome from opening/closing.

Some other features to consider for your retractable enclosure include:

  • Full View Sliding and Swinging Doors – provide maximum
  • visibility. Installed with hardware to maximize safety and security. Allowing only authorized access into the pool area.
  • Sliding Windows DynaDome – they measure a large 3’ wide in 5’ tall with standard 18×14 mesh insect screens to provide ventilation while keeping bugs out.
  • Bi-Folding Panel System – End panels pivot from ends or center
  • depending on your needs and provide maximum ventilation. It also allows you to retract the enclosure without moving pool furniture.
  • Thermal Break System – it minimizes heat loss and allows for the appropriate break in the flow of thermal energy. As a result, it maximizes your energy efficiency.

6. Design Considerations

Last but not least, we have enclosure design considerations. When designing, planning, and installing an enclosure, all installations are custom-made per customer. Yet, we still follow a general set of guidelines and standardized processes.
