“We do have winter here and that an unheated three-pitch roof will, indeed, shed ice and snow. Some random observations were that temperatures inside the dome can easily reach 25 ̊ above ambient on a clear winter day. With no supplemental heat and no attempt to retain heat, the water temperature remained above 60 ̊ all winter. I’m looking forward to getting started on marketing and selling these enclosures in this area.”

“The DynaDome I bought was one of the best investments you can make to extend the use of an outdoor pool in our climate. My wife tells me every time we are in the pool on a bad weather day how nice it is to have the enclosure: when we plan a pool party we never have to reschedule or change it to an indoor event because the weather didn’t cooperate. “We have enjoyed our dome immensely. While I would not claim year-round swimming is possible in Nebraska, I would definitely say our dome has allowed us to swim a solid 10 months a year with intermittent swimming during the coldest 2 months. The retraction is very simple as proven by the fact that I will even allow my wife to do it. We have also had very little problems with the fit and finish of the dome. I assumed that the polycarbonate panels would be more delicate than they are and would scratch easily which is not the case. We have also undergone some hellacious storms and winds since the install without any issues. Geon has been very quick with satisfying any questions or warranty issues I have had thus far and would say dealing with Geon and Bob has been a great experience overall.“
